Kenyataan itu pembunuh berdarah dingin
Ia bisa merobek-robek isi dadamu
tanpa harus membelahmu
lalu meninggalkanmu sekarat
di antara mau mati dan tidak mau mati
agar kita merasakan perih sedikit-sedikit
sebelum selamanya tidak merasa lagi

Kenyataan itu hujan badai
yang anginnya memporakporandakan impianmu
yang memadamkan kobaran semangat
yang gelegar gunturnya menyiutkan nyali
yang airnya menghanyutkan keyakinan

Kenyataan itu kadang maling, kadang rampok
ia bisa datang tanpa suara, tanpa peringatan
membobol beranda hatimu
tahu-tahu semua amblas
tinggal harapan kosong
yang terus berharap semua cuma mimpi
Namun ia juga bisa menyeruak muncul
terang-terangan di hadapan mu
membuat seluruh tubuhmu kelu
membuat jantungmu berdetak ngilu
lalu di antara ketidakberdayaanmu
ia akan mulai merampok
semua yang kamu punya
